Tuckahoe BOE trustees won't run again

Both Tuckahoe School Board trustees whose seats are up in next month's election say they do not plan to run again.

Neither Pat Gallo nor Sheree Raho, who came on the board in the same year, plans to run for a fourth term as a trustee.

"Nine years is enough," said Gallo, during a short break in tonight's school board meeting.

"I'm still going to be very active in the community," said Raho, following the meeting. "How could you not? It's such a great place."

Petitions for would-be candidates for the two open seats in the May 17 election are due to the Tuckahoe district office by Monday, April 18 at 5 p.m.
