Three candidates have filed nominating petitions to run for two open seats on the Tuckahoe Board of Education in next month's election. The three candidates, according to Tuckahoe School District Clerk Karen Barros, are Michelle Liscio, James Lombardi, and Cruger Gallaudet.
James Lombardi, a 13-year resident of the school district, ran for the Board of Education last year and narrowly lost the second seat in the race to incumbent Trustee Anthony Buonocore. Cruger Gallaudet has served on the board in the past and, more recently, has been involved with the Tuckahoe Afterschool Care (TASC) program. School Board election newcomer Michelle Liscio, who works in the supervisor's office at the Town of Eastchester, is a frequent attendee at school board meetings and has been a vocal on several recent issues related to the district.
Three-term incumbent Tuckahoe School Board Trustees Sheree Raho and Pat Gallo, whose seats are up for election on May 17, both informed The Town Report last week that they would not be seeking re-election.
